No it's not a review of the movie Frozen. Sorry to disappoint you! However, that movie is the bombdiggaty. :)
Do you remember when I talked about investing into something? Well I invested in weights and buddy, did I.... Just saying, the bands were great and all but I can only lift up so much resistance. I don't think it's about being strong in that aspect, it's about being tall. Which is why I think my band broke. I kept trying to wrap it around my shoes but then I'd have one side that had more resistance than the other. It was just a pain to mess up. Yesterday was Dirty 30, which focuses on each part of the body in rounds. I didn't noticed it as much afterwards or even in the morning but by the end of the day my chest was sore! Now I did not get the smaller weights which I wish I would have now but I did get a set that has:
4---> 2.5 lb weights &
4---> 7.5 lbs weights
Which is great! But I haven't built up enough strength in my arms, back and shoulders to quite lift 15 lbs (plus the bar), on each arm laying down. I do challenge myself and just hold the 7.5 lb plates when I can.
We were pretty much out of everything in our fridge. I had my meals mapped out down to the last dribble of yogurt so it was time for a grocery run!

I have learned that trial and error works best. I tried resistance bands and it was challenging but the error was it wasn't enough to show progress. Kind of like grocery shopping. Always look for the deals but make sure that the savings is in your future not for a quick fix. When I was at the grocery store yesterday I felt like a Hawk as I watched the worker mark down produce. You can freeze so much stuff and have it stay good why wouldn't you!? I really wish I would have grabbed more but it's nice to share the savings even with folks that probably don't feel the same way. Dude marked down like 5 packages of organic asparagus, all I wanted was one! This lady scooped them all up. That's totally okay though. She was there first but still. ;) I won't use the ranch or dip for the veggie tray but uhh, I'll use the cauliflower, celery, carrots and broccoli that came in it for .99 cents! I was lucky and grabbed a few things including their fresh salsa which has no preservatives in it! Keep an eye out for markdown days because even if you don't want to eat it now (because most of the stuff is about to go bad - that's why they're marking it down) you can freeze it! Baby Zucchini? Freeze it. Snow Peas. Froze them. Broccoli & Carrots. In the Freezer. I'll be cooking with that Shiskabob today! But like with bread? I've been keeping the heels of the bread in my freezer so that if I want to bread my chicken, steak, asparagus, whatever. I can. In a healthier way. I got a bag of bananas, probably like 15 of them for .99 cents last week! I still have 8 of them frozen! (Yes, I know, I'll peel them before I freeze them next time), It's great I can just pop one out, peel it with a knife and throw it in the blender. I made a salad yesterday with ingredients of my own that were borderline about to hit the dust. So I changed my meal plan a bit and utilized what I had. Not half bad for a leftover gyro and zucchini cucumber salad! On to the meals.

I was so proud of some of the girls that have came so far with their journey. Most of them are not even done with week one and are feeling/seeing the changes. It't not about dieting, it's not about eating less. It's about changing what you're doing to feel better not only about yourself on the outside but more importantly what's going on inside. Cleaning up your diet can not only help your body function better but it will change your moods and the way you think.
"I love it. Im full all day. I love my workouts. I have energy. I am just in love (SAME PERSON) DOWN 4 LBS!! "

QUESTION OF THE DAY:
Do you eat gluten-free? Why or why not? If you have, has it helped you at all? I'm seriously considering going completely gluten-free, I do gluten-free as much as possible.
